Beauty Berry

Callicarpa Americana (American beautyberry)

Makes a great butterfly plant and wild bird forage. My chickens love the berries if I knock them down or they can reach. Plant is good for bug repellent, and a lovely jelly if you want to get sugary with an extra bounty. We had enough one year to take and still leave some for the birds, we tried the jelly. It was red and sweet and the neighborhood kids loved it.
